Kenny Scharf’s KARBOMBZ! started accidentally in 2013 in Alabama and lasted for ten years. He thought there was nothing more boring than a traffic jam and set out to change that. Scharf inspired—and continues to inspire smiles around the world by transforming hundreds of people’s cars in under 30 minutes.
“One of the things I love to do is take ordinary things and elevate them through the simple act of painting them. It is my rebellion against the given,” Scharf says.

The new book KARBOMBZ! published by BEYOND THE STREETS features more than 600 images and is designed to look as though it came straight out of an early-2000s Photoshop / QuarkXPress mashup—complete with homages to car advertising and Auto Trader magazine.
