Created over the span of two years across Florida, New York, and Virginia, Permanent Vacation, through imagery and assemblage, is my cathartic search for understanding in an ever changing landscape, harkening back to my past in anyway I can as I grow further from it day by day. Throughout this project, I bridge different aspects of myself in a harmonious form through environmental portraits of others, comparing and contrasting emotion and environment. Subjects appear in deep states of contemplation as their own internal turmoils are activated all as I try to explore mine. Reworked vintage garments gain renewed purpose in a world where the obsolete is quickly discarded.
